چکیده

Converting municipal solid waste (MSW) into valuable feedstocks, such as refuse-derived fuel (RDF), is a sustainable method according to the concept of management hierarchy. A heterogeneous composition with good calorific value and lower emissions allows RDF be used for energy recovery purposes. We have earlier analyzed generation thermochemical characteristics MSW produced in Kazakhstan. This work aims study combustion terms ash evaluate possibility co-firing Ekibastuz coal. In particular, blended high bituminous coal (Ekibastuz coal) co-fired laboratory scale bubbling fluidized bed reactor (BFB) at temperature 850 °C. The tests samples were conducted under various proportions analyze flue gas compositions. Experiments carried presence material (sand), particles fed batch mode hot riser. BFB had height 760 mm internal diameter 48 mm. gaseous products by FTIR spectrometry (Gasmet Dx4000). Ash was examined XRD, XRF, SEM, PSD. results showed that content decreased SO2 28 ppm, while it negatively affected NOx release 1400 owing excess air. gases from different mineral transformations investigated discussed this study.

Comparison of coal/solid recovered fuel (SRF) with coal/refuse derived fuel (RDF) in a fluidized bed reactor.

An experimental study was undertaken to compare the differences between municipal solid waste (MSW) derived solid recovered fuel (SRF) (complying with CEN standards) and refuse derived fuel (RDF). Both fuels were co-combusted with coal in a 50 kW fluidized bed combustor and the metal emissions were compared. Synthetic SRF was prepared in the laboratory by grinding major constituents of MSW such...

Control of a Fluidized Bed Polyethylene Reactor

In present paper, dynamic behavior and control of a fluidized bed reactor for polyethylene production has been considered. A double active sites model for Ziegler-Natta catalysts is used for simulation of polymerization reaction. Hydrodynamic behavior of the bed is modeled using a two phase model including bubble and emulsion phases in which bubble phase has plug flow pattern with different...

Performance of Co-immobilized Yeast and Glucoamylase in a Fluidized Bed Reactor for Fuel Ethanol Production*

The performance of co-immobilized Saccharomyces cerevisiae and glucoamylase was evaluated in a fluidized bed reactor. Soluble starch and yeast extract were used as feed stocks. The biocatalyst performed well and demonstrated no significant loss of activity or physical integrity during 10 weeks of continuous operation. The reactor was easily operated and required no pH control. No operational pr...

A Pilot Study of Syngas Production from Bio-oil Thermal Cracking in a Bubbling Fluidized Bed Reactor

A fluidized bed reactor that is operating in the bubbling regime has been developed for the conversion of bio-oils to syngas. The reactor consists of a 7.6 cm I.D. (or internal diameter) bed, with an expanded freeboard. The volume of the reactor can be adjusted to vary the gas residence time. This reactor has been used to carry out either thermal or catalytic cracking for reforming bio-oils.A ga...

Fluidization Characteristics of a Prototype Fluidized Bed Reactor

The fluidization characteristics of a prototype-fluidized bed laboratory reactor were understudied in order to investigate the suitable conditions at which the dehydrogenation reaction of butane could be carried out. To achieve this, a reactor with an effective volume of 1100ml was fabricated and coupled with temperature and pressure accessories. Zeolites were obtained from the market and clay ...
